Video Vault:

1) Today begins a rare stretch in the NBA schedule (although not this year). Today's game in New York begins a back-to-back-to-back which will take Orlando from New York home to take on Charlotte and San Antonio. Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports the Magic will not use this stretch as an excuse.

2) Jason Richardson will miss today's game with a bone bruise in his knee. The injury was a product of him bumping knees, but the piling up of games in a short time does not help either. Richardson said the schedule is negatively affecting the product on the floor, reports Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel.

3) Carmelo Anthony is still questionable for today's game and does not seem likely to play. Anthony is officially a gametime decision, as Howard Beck of The New York Times reports.

4) Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld reports the Magic were very close to sending Dwight Howard to the Nets for Brook Lopez, but ownership put a halt to the deal.

5) At 6-6, Carmelo Anthony tells Ian Begley of ESPN New York that he has concerns about the Knicks.

6) The noise is starting to get louder as we get deeper into the NBA season about the Magic's struggles on defense. Orlando should have its hands full with another strong power forward with Amar'e Stoudemire on the docket today, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel writes.

7) The crew at MagicBasketball.net reviews the Magic through 11 games.

8) Baron Davis is still out, but Tim Bontemps of the New York Post writes Davis could be back by the end of the month to solve the Knicks' point guard problems.

9) A UCF junior is trying to get Dwight Howard pay for her college tuition if she can beat him in a free throw shooting contest. Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel spoke with a math professor at Valencia Community College and, mathematically, it seems that Dwight Howard would make more free throws shooting underhand.

10) Glen Davis acknowledged to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel confronting a fan in Portland before the game, but denied using profanity in his interaction with them.
