Canada's Schedule: Aug. 30 -- Canada 85, Jamaica 64; Today -- vs. Puerto Rico; Sept. 1 -- vs. Brazil; Sept. 3 -- vs. Uruguay
1) Canada raced out to a first half lead and held on when Jamaica made a second-half run to win their first game at the FIBA Americas Championship. Spurs guard Cory Joseph had a near triple double to lead the way -- the only bad thing was he played 37 minutes in the win. Andrew Nicholson had seven points for Canada and showed no signs of any nervousness for his first international competition.
2) Renaldo Balkman had a stellar game helping Puerto Rico come from behind to defeat Brazil 72-65 in the opener for the Boricuas. Balkman scored 24 points to go with eight rebounds and four blocks. Carlos Arroyo and Jose Juan Barea were also key in Puerto Rico's win.
3) Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel breaks down the Magic's point guard position where Victor Oladipo will be competing for time with Jameer Nelson.
