82games.com has a pretty interesting graphic on their site, using a statistical formula to rank the best clutch scorers in the NBA.
Of course this has been one of the major knocks against the Magic from observers around the league: that the Magic don't have one go-to player on offense down the stretch of close games.
Magic fans will argue that sure the team has a go-to man come crunch time, it's Hedo Turkoglu.
That Magic even have a feature story running on their Web site today called Turkoglu "Mr. Fourth Quarter."
But while that may have been true last year, this year's numbers say otherwise.
According to figures, which are based on "fourth quarter or overtime, less than five minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points," Orlando's most clutch player is Jameer Nelson.
Nelson has a rating of 34.7, tied for 15th best in the league with New Jersey's Devin Harris.
The next player on the list? Rashard Lewis in 38th place with a rating of 28.8.
In fact, Turkoglu rates out as the third on the team and 49th in the league with a rating of 26.4.
Zach touched on Hedo's diminishing clutch stats back in February, but with the whole season almost complet
Other Magic players on the list include Dwight Howard (85th overall, 20.6 rating), Rafer Alston (107th overall, 18.1 rating) and Courtney Lee (148th overall, 14.5 rating).
Now I know sometimes these lists can be subjective, but with the top five being Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul, it's sort of hard to complain.
It also serves as a reminder of just how important Jameer Nelson was to this team before he went down with a shoulder injury.
He was playing the best basketball of his career, and didn't shy away from taking the big shot when the team needed him to.
What do you think? Who is the most clutch player on the Magic?
