In a relatively unsurprising move, Courtney lee will re-join the starting lineup against the Cavaliers. Per the Orlando Sentinel:
The Magic will change their lineup heading into the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavs, starting rookie Courtney Lee and returning J.J. Redck to the bench.
"At the risk of giving away a huge secret...because of matchups, we're going to go back to Courtney in ths series," he said. "For Delonte West, a guy who puts the ball on the floor more and attacks with the dribble, I think Courtney is the better matchup, so we are going to go that way."
Moving Lee into the starting lineup is the logical move. Lee broke out against the Sixers in the first round, penetrating better than anyone and consistently hitting the mid-range jumper. He averaged 15.8 points through the first four playoff games and was challenging all of Penny Hardaway's rookie playoff records.
Even though Dwight Howard's elbow took him out of Games 5 and 6 against the Sixers, some would would argue that the opening-round series would've gone seven games if it weren't for Lee's heroics.
Now, against Cleveland, the Magic are going to need him even more - and not for his offense. Lee will likely start the game defending LeBron James. Could there be a tougher task for a rookie? Lee is the Magic's best perimeter defender, and his smaller frame seems to entice James to shoot over him. Obviously, the Magic would like to see as many LeBron jumpers as they can.
