1) Dwight Howard and the Magic have decided that it is best for Howard to complete the first three weeks of his rehab in Los Angeles, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports, rather than criss-cross the country in returning to Orlando and following the team around for the Playoffs and checking in with his doctor in Los Angeles.
2) In somewhat surprising news, Hedo Turkoglu returned to contact drills and participated in the Magic's shootaround this morning. Turkoglu is hopeful that he will be able to play Thursday in Memphis, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports. As I wrote yesterday, the Magic need Turkoglu in the lineup in some capacity right now.
3) In other injury news, Jameer Nelson, Quentin Richardson and Earl Clark are expected back tonight, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
4) With a win tonight, the Magic avoid a first-round date with the Miami Heat and wrap up the East's sixth seed.
5) This is starting to get picked up around the Internet, but nobody knows if it is true or not. Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.com said this weekend that Dwight Howard intends to ask Orlando management for a trade once the season ends. Read into that whatever you want.
