1) Brandon Sonnone of Examiner.com agrees with Hakeem Olajuwon's assessment of Dwight Howard... he needs to play with more of his ever-growing confidence. John Karalis of Crossover Chronicles notes that perhaps the Magic should find a more balanced approach that emphasizes Howard more in the offense.

2) In case you missed it, Stan Van Gundy showed off his handles during his appearance at Orlando Magic Basketball Camp. And I am not talking about his love handles.

3) Zach McCann of the Orlando Sentinel writes Stan Van Gundy was at his jolliest coaching kids at Magic Basketball Camp even (gasp) offering encouragement. But expect the same old Stan once the season starts back up and he gets his NBA players back.

4) Courtney Lee, Jason Williams and former Magic center Olumide Oyadeji have teamed up in playing in a summer pro-am league at the Smith Center in Orlando. Lee and Williams, along with former Lake Howell star and recent NBA Draft pick Chandler Parsons, have teamed up to lead a squad against the Nigerian national team, Tiffany Greene of Bright House Sports Network writes.

5) Stan Van Gundy tells Zach McCann of the Orlando Sentinel that he was pretty fed up with politics in Washington and hinted that after he is done with this basketball thing he might enter politics.

6) John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com recaps Stan Van Gundy's lessons for the campers at Orlando Magic Basketball Camp on Wednesday.
