With the all-star break looming, we'll take a look at each Magic player and their performance so far this season.
When MP was signed in the offseason, we didn't really know what to expect. He was athletic, sure - but he had to be wasting away on Golden State's bench for a reason. It couldn't all be Don Nelson's craziness, could it? GOOD
: While he hasn't been spectacular, MP has been exactly what the Magic wanted out of the shooting guard position. He's long and athletic, making him a solid defensive player, and he can score when the Magic call on him. As a shooter, he's streaky - when he's on, he turns the Magic into an offensive juggernaut. The Magic are 9-0 this season when Pietrus hits multiple three-pointers. Pietrus runs as well as anyone, and he's been able to get out on the break for athletic slams throughout the year. BAD
: That streakiness on the offensive end can really hurt the Magic. When Pietrus is off, he's not shy about hoisting up some more. He's also not as good of a ball-handler as you'd like your shooting guard to be, but Hedo Turkoglu helps negate that weakness. PROGNOSIS
: For the mid-level exception, you can't expect much more than what Orlando has gotten from Pietrus. He's having the best season of his career, and the Magic will need him to get even better to make up for Jameer Nelson's absence. FINAL GRADE: B Up next: Rashard Lewis
